P.E.A.C. PROGRAM
P.E.A.C. is the Prostate Education and Awareness Campaign program that was sponsored by a grant from UCSF and John Muir Faith Health Partnership. Sozo is working with UCSF, JMFHP and other community groups such as Contra Costa Health Ministries Network and Diablo Black Men's group in developing evidence base prostate cancer education and awareness in the African American Community. Though Prostate cancer effects men in general it is most common in African American men; who also carry the highest mortality rate (deaths) from it.

SPIRITUALITY & MENTAL HEALTH
Sozo has teamed up with NAMI of Contra Costa County to bring mental health awareness and education to the faith community.
When it comes to mental health, spirituality, and or religiosity, there lies a great need for education and understanding in the faith community. Sozo's goal is to join the great work NAMI is already doing to promote awareness, acceptance, and support for mental health & illness. Please feel free to join us as we embark upon this journey.
