Feeling as though I was loosening my mind, and not knowing where to turn, I was in the darkest place and time in my life. Having been acquainted with Sabrina, from previous church groups as well as being former co-workers I knew of her being a nurse and minister. It was as such that I contacted her, with the hope that she could direct me in seeking the help I needed.
Sabrina was very attentive listening to what I had to say about how I was feeling and thinking giving encouragement and compassion as well as scripture to help me cope with what was going on with me medically. Sabrina helped me understand that I was going through depression and anxiety. Sabrina took into consideration that I was leary of seeing a therapist. She worked with me, referring me to a therapist who understood and would work with my Christian beliefs. Sabrina didn't stop there she kept in contact with me helping me to get through the process of becoming well, and even took me to appointments when needed.
Sabrina, was in contact with my doctors, therapist, insurance company, she put in hours upon hours on the phone to make sure that I would receive the care that I needed and that it would be covered by my insurance. Sozo has given me the tools I need to move on with my life for which I will be forever grateful.

Several months ago my 45-year-old son became a stroke victim and Sozo entered our lives. At the lowest point during this physical, mental and spiritual challenges Sozo’s leadership comforted us through scriptures, prayer, counseling and medical education and resources.
My son has been hospitalized since January 8, 2008 and Sozo continues to provide support and prayers. On April 3rd my son took his first steps without the use of any supportive equipment.
Thank you Sabrina for your counseling, directions and healing touch. May our loving Father continue to bless you and your ministry.

I would like to thank GOD for giving Sabrina the vision for SOZO. I had been diagnosed with having ovarian cancer. Sabrina and I had spoken previously about some of my medical problems. I would ask Sabrina what she thought and being the WOMAN of GOD that she is her response was let’s pray and then we would start to discuss my situation. I was scheduled to have a biopsy done.
Sabrina came straight from work that morning and met me at Alta Bates Hospital and we began to pray about the procedure. I remember telling Sabrina that I was not afraid now. I explained to her that before becoming a member at Grace I would have been all upset and uneasy. We headed to get the ultrasound done they had to inject me with some dye that had made me very sick.
They looked not once but three times. Finally they sent in a specialist I told him there was nothing to biopsy. He looked and was unable to find anything. I told him that GOD was good and he said all the time. I will never forget that day it was our Annual Sister’s Be Loosed Event.
In December I eventually had my surgery which was supposed to last 1 ½ hours it ended up being 3 hours. Sabrina my guardian angel once again was on the phone calling me as I was preparing to leave my mother’s house to get to the hospital for surgery that day. She repeatedly kept apologizing for not being able to be there. All while tending to me she was attending school, family, church and the other members Grace that needed SOZO care. Sabrina called me sometime after I got out of surgery and prayed with me over the phone.
Sabrina took the time to come see me the next evening. Even though she was not sure where she was coming to GOD allowed other angels to steer her to me. We talked, walked and prayed for at least 2 hours. I was asking Sabrina different questions. I remember her asking me about my drainage bag. I responded that it was always full and that I had a lot of pain on my right side. Sabrina and my nurse both were very concerned.
Being the prayer warrior that she is Sabrina again went into prayer mode accompanied by the nurse and myself. I thank GOD & Pastor Smith for bringing Sabrina’s vision for SOZO to life.

Hello, my name is Shelia Thornton. I was hospitalized for 5 days in the month of March, 2008. I received a phone call from Sabrina which was later followed up by a visit. I had previously heard a little about Sozo but really didn't know the depth of what this wonderful group had to offer. I must say, that I was blessed by the information I was given and the overall knowledge she had on my particular condition as well as the follow-up visit at my home after I was released. It was a blessing to have someone take out time from there busy schedule to visit someone they barely knew. Keep up the great work and may God continue to bless this ministry!

On January 31, 2008 Sabrina visited with me as my husband was making his transition to go home. Her nursing skills and the courage to pray us through the storm was very supportive. No one would have been a vigilant to suggest a prayer circle around my husband. His transition was beautiful. He was comfortable and at peace. How Sabrina has been given the call to minister to people in health crisis is a blessing to all she comes in contact with. She comes at anybody's call. She is an angel for God's children.

On Valentine’s Day 2008 I was scheduled to have a minor procedure done in the hospital. Things did not turn out the way doctors expected and they expressed to me their concern because they say they had only seen my situation one or two other times. When Sister Sabrina received word I was in the hospital she called me immediately. She prayed with me and told me she would help me speak with doctors if necessary when it was time for me to make a decision. Sabrina, Venoia and the Sozo ministry have been a blessing to me because they continue to check on me from time to time and make sure I am doing okay. Since my hospital stay I have referred other saints to the ministry and Sabrina has been a blessing to them as well. The calls and the visits are greatly appreciated and Sozo is a ministry we should not do without.
